| This is a photo of a "new kid on the block" in terms of our hobby. Rod Lanthier, born and raised in Montreal, is now a paramedic in So. CA and loves to collect and refurbish three slots. He has a penchant for "original" and uses as many original parts as he possible can in restoring the sets. He completed just before the San Jose show 10 of the 12 colors of three slots manufactured and issued by Automatic Electric. He did not have some grey or ivory parts for those two sets so they are not included in his display. These phones were not for sale at the show, but he took orders instead for them as well as the "theme" three slots that he creates. He also had a copy of the AE catalog with the color information on these sets. More about Rod at a later date. |
