This three slot was given to my retired W.E. friend in Denver about 10 years ago. It is a fully working set mounted on a special backboard that has a modular jack built into the back for easy connection to the phone line. The coin relay has been removed as have the coin tracks and in place of the latter is a custommade sheet metal chute that directs all coins to the coin box where they fall on a "gong" that has been mounted on a vertical bolt. Very corny, but that's how they did it. I have been told that this same phone equipped in the same manner, was once sold at the Bell or AT/T Phone Store. |
