Pictured is a Panel Line Finder Frame (1933). Note switchman working on first selector. This is where the call originates. This frame could handle 400 phone lines with 30 possible selectors, or 30 outgoing calls at a time. Each bank (there was ten) could handle 40 lines. The very top held the commutator bank. The very bottom held the clutches. On the right were the line and cut-off relays and the trip and start circuit. Near to top right note the two white lamp sockets. These held the isle alarm lamps. |
